Wonderful, Glorious Food

Image result for foodWho doesn't love food? I know I do! Food is what fuels us humans, it gives us energy to do everyday activities like typing, as I am doing right now. Food is one of my favorite things to talk about so I said " Why not make a blog about wonderful, glorious food?" Food, in my head, falls into different categories; drinks, salty, sweet, and junk. I have a few favorites in each category and I decided to share them on this blog. There are many health nuts out in the world that don't eat certain types of food, and I feel very bad for them. I don't think that you should limit what type of food you eat, but the proportions of your food. Again, I have favorite foods in every category and I eat them all! I love food and will continue to eat all different types of food and you can't do anything about it!

Image result for lemonadeThe first food group is drinks. Funny enough, I don't really see the point in drinks. I mean, the thought of people drinking liquid to "wash down" their food is a really unsettling thought. But of course, I do have a lot of favorite drinks, starting with lemonade. Lemonade is sweet, tangy, and all around great. There is not a time where I don't have lemonade in my fridge, ever! This is extremely weird, but I also love milk. Milk has a peculiar taste that makes it amazing. Having milk mustaches is the bomb! Orange juice is probably the drink I most drink. I really like the sweet and sour taste of orange juice. Lastly, I like water. That was a depressingly short sentence. Anyways, water is kind of like liquid that's invisible, has no taste, an is great for your health. I really don't like drinking water because I don't see the point in it, but I still drink it. Water is really good while you're eating because it doesn't change the taste of your food as juice would. Yay for drinks!

Image result for cheeseSodium, a.k.a. salt, is a very important nutrient that makes a lot of food taste like heaven. The first food item is pasta, all kinds of pasta. This is a very random dish, but I absolutely adore pasta. My favorite is chicken alfredo, but I also like lasagna. Just thinking about it made me hungry! Now, pasta is great, but nothing, absolutely nothing, can beat macaroni and cheese. Mac and cheese is delicious! The cheese melts in your mouth like cotton candy and the pasta feels like cookie dough sliding across your tongue. As you can tell, I love cheese and I wouldn't be able to live without it. I eat and love all kinds of cheese, mozarella, monterrey jack, pepper jack, cheddar, american, cottage, cream, parmesan, all kinds of cheese! All, except one...blue cheese. I can't stand the bitter flavor of blue cheese...YUCK! Salt is amazing, don't you think?

Image result for pancakesWhen I think of sugar, I think of unicorns dancing on rainbows and pooping jelly-beans. Yes, I have weird thoughts that belong in a children's book, but that doesn't matter! Sweet foods is something the world can not live without! Toast is the most amazing sweet food, weirdly enough. I really like toast at all times during the day. I add cream cheese, cottage cheese, almond butter, american cheese, or jam. Pancakes make a large section of my sweetness diet. In my opinion, my pancakes are he bomb! In my family's opinion, my pancakes are soggy pieces of flour that somehow manage to burn on the edges but still not be fully cooked inside. Anyways, I like to put Nutella in the batter to make them extra delicious! Smoothies are amazing as well. You can add all kinds of fruits and they manage to taste great no matter what! My favorite smoothie to make in the morning is a strawberry and banana smoothie. I add strawberries, bananas, and milk, and wa la! Sweet foods as great and I love to talk about them, but we have to move on!

Image result for chipsGuilty snacks, everyone has them. The food that you know perfectly well you shouldn't eat, but yet you still eat it. These include cookies, chips, ice cream, and candy. My favorite out of all this junk is chips. I love crunchy snacks... not celery though. Pringles are the best, of course! I love sour cream and onion Pringles and cheddar cheese Pringles. On the hotter side of the spectrum, I like Takis and Hot Cheetos. Truthfully, I'm not such a big fan of cookies, but when I do crave a cookie I have a few favorites. Starting off with Chips Ahoy(the chewy kind). Oh my, how much I love my Chips Ahoy! Oreos are okay when I really crave something extremely sweet. Is it weird that I love the chocolate cookie part of the Oreo, not the cream filling? Moving on to icecream, my favorite flavor of all time is strawberry. I really don't like chocolate or vanilla iccream, but I can tolerate them. For toppings on the iccream, I like to add gummy bears, sprinkles, and chocolate/strawberry syrup. I have a piece of candy probably every single day. Jolly Ranchers are the classics, you can never go wrong with them. I know, I am not supposed to eat Jolly Ranchers because I have braces, but I really don't care! Twix is also an unbeatable candy. I love the sticky caramel and the cookie/wafer thingy. Junk food is great!

Image result for oystersAs I said before, I love food. Above, I let you in on my favorite foods in the entire universe. Although I have tried and liked a great deal of food, I have also not tried a lot of different foods. On the top of my list is mussels and oysters. There is a great controversy between mussels and oysters because half of the people hate them and the other half lives for them. Octopus is something else I really want to try, but something keeps stopping me. Once I saw a show where this guy was eating an octopus and the tentacles got stuck in his throat so he choked and died...tragic. It was totally fiction but the image haunts me at night. The next food I want to try is kind of strange because it is eaten everywhere you go, chicken pot pie. Believe it or not, I have never tried chicken pot pie, but one day I will! This blog has been both very pleasant and painful to write. On the pleasant side, writing about food is always really nice, but on the painful side, writing about food made my stomach rumble and groan with hunger. Food is great, it gives you energy and it tastes amazing. In all, food deserves to be loved.
