''Friends help you back up when you fall, but best friends push you back down and laugh.'' This quote is completely true in my case. I have the best friends I could possibly hope for. They are always there for me and I love them all. Not only do I love when we are all together, but I love them all individually as well. I don't know if they will care if I put their names in this blog, but just in case, I will give them different names. My besties include Nutcracker, Jam, Jules, and Viking(all the fake names start with the first letter in their name, maybe you can figure out who they are!). My best friends are all crazy, weird, perfect, positive, hilarious, and amazing girls!
I will start off with the friend I have known the longest, Nutcracker. Nutcracker is one of the most hilarious people I have ever met! She is always making you feel better and pumping up your confidence. Nutcracker has her own sense of style and she is not afraid to come out of her comfort zone, and I admire this greatly. I have known Nutcracker since preschool, which is a very vast time period, but not all the time that we have known each other has been pretty pink rainbows with chocolate syrup and sprinkles. We absolutely hated eachother in elementary! Even though we had mutual friends, she thought that I was too much of a girly girl and I thought that she was a mean bully. Once, she spread a rumor about me and that made me dislike her even more. Until, the first day of 6th grade, I got to fully know Nutcracker. I was new to riding buses to and from school everyday as I have always lived near the Hudson Academy, so on the first day of 6th grade, I was unsure of which bus to ride. I pondered and finally decided to ride the last bus, which was Nutcracker's route bus. Every seat was full except one, the seat where Nutcracker was sitting in, so I sat there are we began to talk. We found out that we had lockers next to eachother and we became inseperable. That was how it all started and knowing Nutcracker is one of the best things that could have happened to me.
Jam is another of my absolutely great friends. She is an out-going, loud person. Jam is not afraid to express what she thinks of anything or anyone. If your hair look horrendous, she will tell you because she is just that kind of person! Boy, is Jam loud! Her whispers are like shouts and her shouts are like a lion's roar, but you gotta love her anyways. Jam is not very good at keeping secrets, but she is amazing at making you feel appreciated. If someone hurts you, she is ready to hurt them and she will never ever forget her promises. I met Jam through a mutual friend and at first I thought she was a eccentric, weird girl. Then, I noticed her more since she was friends with one of my close friends and started talking to her in my ELA class. Jam made everyday so fun, she made me look forward to dull, boring days. Now, even though we are on different teams, we still hang out a whole lot and talk hours on the phone. Jam is simply one of those persons you either hate or love and I love her!
Best friends are supposed to be there for you and understand you. Jules is the perfect example of this. Jules is a girl with a big heart. When she sees a homeless dog commercial, she cries, when she sees Titanic, she cries, you get the cycle. This makes her so relateable because she understands what it feels to be a sentimental person. Jules is the person that I can talk to anything about and she won't think any different of me than before. Jules makes everything dramatic, like life is a giant soap opera. She is not an honest person, but in a good way. Unlike Jam, she does not tell you directly that your hair is messed up or that your shirt does not look very good on you. She gives you little hints that lead to notice that messed up hair or shirt. Jules is amazing and I love her!
Last, but not in the smallest way least, is Viking. Viking is the sweetest girl you will ever meet! She is honest about what she thinks and she is not at all stubborn. Viking tries so hard in everything she does even if she hates what she is doing. Viking NEVER gives up, EVER! She is such an artist in all aspects of the word. Viking and I have the same thoughts all of the time. Sometimes, we say the same things at the exact same time and start cracking up. Viking is so easy to talk to and she does not get offended in any way possible. When I use large words that only a person with a high level vocabulary would use, she understands, and that makes me appreciate her even more. I have known Viking for a very long time, since first grade! Viking and I have always been really great friends, but we really kicked it off this year. One of my best friends stopped talking to me completely and that hurt me a lot, but it also opened up a way of me getting to know Viking. She helped me get through the best friend breakup and I appreciate her for that.
I don't know what I would do without my best friends. I love them to death and I hope that we will be best friends until the end of the world. Nutcracker is the most out-of-the-box person you will ever meet! Jam is the most I-will-say-whatever-I-want-to-say-to-you-whenever-I-want-to girl! Jules is the I-understand-you-better-than-yourself girl! Viking is the sweeter-than-apple-pie-and-chocolate-icecream girl! I wish everybody had best friends like mine, the world would be a better place. My goodness, how much I love my crazy, weird, amazing besties!
